Hi gang! Good pics from the area, shame the result didn't quite
match.
Apparently my band will be making a rare
expedition from the North East to Whit Friday so it doesn't look
like I'll be able to join you this year. Hope to see you all soon,
keep up the hard work and best of luck for the future!!

From:Adrian
Hirst It’s great to
see the band going from strength to strength. It seems years ago
that I was sat on the Bass Trombone seat (mid 80’s) but the
great memories are still there. Both Karen and I hope to see you
in July at the centenary concert.
All the best – Adrian (Hirst)

Ibbotson, Hello, I have been looking at your web site. I played
in the Birdwell Band in the 1940s and 50s. I have some old photos
of the band which I will send to you shortly which you may find interesting.
An old Birdwell bandsman died recently, Mr. Malcolm Lang of Birdwell.
Malcolms father was the band secretary in the 1950s. I am still playing
Euph in the Ammanford Band (South Wales) we are playing "The
Moor of Venice" at the regional finals in March. I intend to
visit Yorkshire in the Spring and would like to visit you for a blow
if possible. All the best Raymond.Ibbotson |
